Danny Oxenberg & Bear Galvin

A l'occasion de la parution de "Early Abstractions, Vol. 1" (three:four records / FEEDING TUBE RECORDS), le cofondateur des Supreme Dicks, Danny Oxenberg, accompagné de son acolyte Bear Galvin, revient à Marseille, trois ans après un concert à DATA.

"Early Abstraction, Vol. 1" rassemble des morceaux enregistrés à New York, dans le Western Massachusetts et Los Angeles, puisés pour la plupart dans les archives de Danny Oxenberg. Certains de ces morceaux sont récents, quelques-uns sont empruntés, d'autres sont bleus*. L'album a été produit par Maxime Guitton, avec une pochette originale de Hippolyte Hentgen et une mise en page de Darryl Norsen.

Le concert annoncé à 21h sera précédé à partir de 19h30 de la projection d'un film inédit en France réalisé par Danny Oxenberg : "The Death Of The American Avant-Garde"

This film is kind of a mood reflection on some of the greats of what has been referred to variously as New American Cinema, or the American Avant-Garde.
Featuring – Jonas and Hollis Mekas, Peter Kubelka (and his orchestra), Nadia, Ken and Flo Jacobs (among others)
